Advent 2008
No one can deny that we live in scary, uncertain times. We have concerns about the economy, personal health and well-being, the environment, and our future. We long for hope, comfort, and assurance in the midst of the turmoil.
The season of Advent speaks to the heart of these concerns. Advent is not just a period of preparation for the celebration of Christmas. It is a time in which we are reassured that God is at work bringing healing and restoration to our brokenness.
What Are We Waiting For?
November 30 – An End to the Suffering
December 7 – Some Good News
December 14 – A New Start
December 21 – Hope
Wednesdays in Advent we are intentionally creating space in the midst of the hectic holiday season for you to commune with God and one another. From 6:00-6:45pm there will be interactive prayer stations set up in the Gathering Place, prayer teams available in the chapel, and coffee and cider in the parlor for a place of quiet conversation. At 7:00pm we'll have Evening Prayer with Holy Communion.
