Worship
Do you know that God is with us right now? Here, in this place, where we have come to worship. We come together on Sunday mornings to sing praise, to pray, to learn, and to say thank you to God. We’re so thankful for everything God has given us – most especially the gift of Jesus, who died to take away our sin – that we want to come together with other people to worship such a wonderful God. When we gather together in this way, God is with us – not just out there somewhere, watching from far away. God is inside each of us, between us in the pews, under the chairs, behind the altar – everywhere, ready to fill everything and everyone with God’s presence.
And what about when we leave this place? God goes with you and me and everyone else, too. God is next to us; guiding us, helping us, loving and protecting us everywhere we go and in everything we do. We’re never alone. How could we not worship a God who is with us always?
Sometimes it’s hard to notice and remember that God really is right here with us. Sometime this week, ask the people in your family to share about times when they’ve been able to remember God’s presence. Good times? Bad times? What can make us forget that God is with us? What can help us remember? When we remember and celebrate God’s presence with us, that’s worship!
Prayer: Thank you God, for loving me so much that you are always with me.
