Leadership  

The Congregation Council has general oversight of the congregation and leads Holy Cross in implementing its values, mission, and vision for ministry. The Congregation Council ensures that the necessary resources and structures are in place in order that God’s people can be equipped and released for ministry in the world.
Our Vision: To build a growing, evangelistic community in which lives are being transformed and equipped to impact the world as faithful disciples of Jesus Christ.

Executive Committee
The Executive Committee is comprised of the President, Secretary, Treasurer and Senior Pastor (ex officio).

Ministry Support Teams
In an effort to support the congregation’s ministry, the at-large membership of the Council has specific responsibility for leading a ministry support team. These teams are described as follows:

 

Leadership Development
The Leadership Development Team works along with the Pastor to provide for leadership training in the congregation, identify and recruit potential ministry team leaders, and work with staff in assessing team leadership needs. The Leadership Development Team also functions as the congregation’s nominating committee. The team identifies qualified persons for leadership and places them in nomination for election by the Congregation and serves as a resource for ministry teams. Team Liaison: Di Kakareka

 

Finance
The Congregation Council provides oversight for the financial operations of this congregation including overall planning and budgeting. The Finance Team gives attention to the prompt payment of all obligations. It is responsible for keeping members advised of their personal giving and the financial status of the congregation. The team sees to it that an annual report and satisfactory audit be made to the Congregation at its annual Congregation Meeting. Team Liaison: Filip Landsberg

 

Facilities
The Facilities team is responsible for providing for the maintenance and upkeep of the facilities, grounds and property to support the life and ministry of the congregation. Team Liaison: Ryan Rosche
Stewardship
The Stewardship liaison works with the Stewardship ministry in promoting congregational generosity and the celebration of God's gifts though ongoing, yearlong education and the coordination of the annual congregation stewardship campaign. Team Liaison: Kevin Dolan

 

 

Human Resources
The Holy Cross Constitution states that the Executive committee “shall be responsible for the employment and supervision of the salaried lay workers of this congregation.”  The Human Resources Team assists in this work by establishing position descriptions, policies, and benefits that support the staff in contributing to the growth and success of the ministry at Holy Cross. The team will also provide for an annual review process for all lay staff. Team Liaison: Laura Persons
