Stewardship

 

“Like good stewards of the manifold grace of God, serve one another with whatever gift each of you has received”.     I Peter 4:10

We have been individually been blessed with a variety of resources, and how we use them is a way of life. The goal of this team is to grow, develop and build on the individual God-given gifts with which each of us has been blessed. Our focus is about the gifts of time, talent, grace, wisdom and money that we give and receive through our relationship with our church and our personal connection with God.

 

Offering Stewards
Offering stewards are responsible for counting and posting the Sunday morning offering. The stewards serve on a team of two people, along with Gregg Griswold, following the service of their choice for one month at a time.

Mission Endowment Fund
The Mission Endowment Fund provides the opportunity to support and fund the ministry of Holy Cross through special gifts, bequests, and memorials. The fund will support ministries beyond the general operating budget needs of the congregation. Guidelines developed by the MEF steering committee provide for 50% of funds to be allocated to worldwide ministries, including ELCA ministries and 50% of funds to be allocated for Holy Cross special outreach ministries (all outside the normal operating budget). We have many opportunities for people to get involved. If you are interested in serving on the MEF board or volunteering on one of our committees (communications or investment), please contact an MEF board member. You can also prayerfully consider your ability to provide financial support to the fund as part of your annual charitable giving and/or part of your estate planning.
